Newsboys, God's personal messengers

I really have a feeling to share this awesome song with everyone. =)
Enjoy the shortened version of Jonah and the Big Fish.

In the Belly of the Whale
by Newsboys

Up to my ears
In bitter tears.
Can't believe I've sunk this low
As I walk the plankton
Inner sanctum.
Got outta Dodge,
Sailed on a bon-less
Bon voyage.
You said North,
I headed South.
Tossed overboard.
Good Lord, that's a really large mouth...

I'm sleeping with fishes here,
In the belly of the whale.
I'm highly nutritious here,
In the belly of the whale.
Bad food, lousy atmosphere.
I don't wanna bellyache.
How long is this gonna take?

Woke up this morning kinda blue,
Thinking through that age-old question:
How to exit a whale's digestion?
It might behoove me to be heaved.
Head out like a human comet.
Hmmm... i wonder what rhyme with comet.

I'm sleeping with fishes here,
In the belly of the whale.
I'm highly nutritious here,
In the belly of the whale.
I'm ready to reappear.
I don't wanna bellyache.
Lord, how long's this gonna take?

End times, they come rolling around.
Enzymes, they come breaking us down to the core.
The good Lord grants we all get a second chance.

I'm one of the dishes here,
In the belly of the whale.
They say I'm delicious here,
In the belly of the whale.
Lord, please make him chuck it all.
It's a gut call
In the belly of the whale.

I'm in the belly of the whale.
In the belly of the whale.
I'm in the belly.
In the belly of the whale.
I'm in the belly of the whale.
In the belly of the whale.
I'm in the belly...

In the belly of the whale
In an underwater jail
It's a tight squeeze.
It's a-gettin' to me,
But it's roomier
Than the tail.
Hey, sailor,
Got my flow free
Like a salmon to the sea
From the L.A. Symphony.
I'm a paddleboat
Paddlin' in their wake,
A fake free-styler,
But my unemployment pays.
I'm avoiding cliches
Like "whale of a tale" say
Or "you can't keep
A good man down,"
'Cause you can
And I've been there, man.
But I've been expectorated.
I'm elated!
I'm free like Willie!
Happy Day!
Oops,
That's a bit of a cliche.

In the belly...

Opening another perspective

thats right. in this world there are millions of perspective that takes place, some so big, that could cause wars and crap. For now, I stumbled upon multiple perspectives on christianity. And honestly I didn't think it would be very complicated and so-oh-interesting. Before this can be continued, if you're easily offended by vugal words and things against christianity, not really against but still offensive.(if there isn't any negative points, what's there to improve?)

I have nothing against the writers of the links posted, just what they wrote has got me to think about things.

As for you readers, please do not flame them about these things.

First Link.

[Plainly explaining about what christianity should be in his eyes, as he is a christian himself.]

As what he said, Christianity shouldn't be about the church, music, and all the other stuff. As stated in the bible, it should be a firm and established relationship with God, church, music is about spreading the gospel, nothing more. Pastors are there to help if in need, and to elaborate more on christianity.

What has got me, is christians speaking foul language/swearing. True enough, many christians have this problem of holding their tongue, as I do. The next link is in conjunction of what I'm saying.

And this reply came in.

No Name has hit the nail on the head. I don't think that his English is an issue here. You can say whatever you want, but we Christians know that we are saved through faith in Christ. I'm not picking a fight with you, and if you want to know more or debate more, feel free to ask any Christian.

Our God gave us free will, but humans abuse it. As for Christians swearing, yes, it is a sin, but no, they are not going to hell for it. You can't generalise an issue like this. Jesus did say in Matthew 15:11-20 that what comes out of a man's mouth is what shows his insides to be unclean, and that is the issue. All humans are inherantly sinful, and it takes effort to live a good and holy life. Everyone is at different stages of their spiritual journeys. Some people are such strong Christians that they really do not swear at all, and live close to God. Some others really do believe in God, but they are also so assimilated into the ways of this world that they can't help but act like the rest of the world.

I also don't think drinking is an issue here. It is the consequences of drinking that becomes an issue.

I am not justifying Christian swearing or drinking. If any of it is clearly stated as a sin in the bible (and swearing is), then all Christians have a responsibility to repent and to live holy lives that are pleasing to God. What they get in the end is between them and God, and whether they choose to repent or not. It is not for you or me to judge, because we have no right to condemn.

Nuff said. That just about explains everything I have in doubt. As said here,
[Matthew 15:11-12, what comes out of a man's mouth is what shows his insides to be unclean.] Continued

[Matthew 15:18-20, But things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man unclean. For out of the heart comes evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man unclean; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him unclean.]

What I don't understand is, from the beginning, was there even swear words? Those words were created by men, completely stupid.

Talks about worship and christian based rock music

So they are against christian rock, big deal. Their loss. =)

Ok, so what I meant to say, 'rocking' for God, why is it so wrong? So from slow hymns and worship slowly began to evolve into what it is today. Rock. We are the ones who made it like this, this generation did. I wouldn't trust on anyone below the age of consent not liking rock or any other genres made today, I ask a simple question, would hymns now appeal much to the youths of today? In my opinion, majority, no. Thus, praise and worship changed, and as I said above, songs, are mainly just spreading gospel. Instruments, then and now, all are made by men. But what we really need to praise God, is something made by him, our voices. Our voices please him, we sing, we shout, and we clap. No matter what genre, as long as we praise the Lord with our voices, nothing else matters.

[Psalm 47:1-2
Clap your hands, all you nations;
shout to God with cries of joy.
How awesome is the Lord Most High,
the Great King over all the earth!]

[Psalm 92:1-5
It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
To proclaim your love in the moring and your faithfulness at night,
to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
For you make me glad by your deeds, O God;
I sing for joy at your works of your hands.]

[Psalm 96:1-2
Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord, praise his name;
proclaim his salvation day after day.]

What the writer said, very correct. As christians, if you still continue to sin and not repent, no place in heaven for you.

This has just been an eye opener for me, to see what others has to say about our 'holy' attitude, but we're nothing near perfect are we? =)

I still continue to believe in christ.
